Exceptions to campus closure 2018-2019
As in the past, the UC Santa Cruz campus will close during the holiday season in an effort to conserve energy at a time when the university business is generally slow. This year the campus will be closed from Saturday, December 22, 2018 through Tuesday, January 1, 2019, re-opening on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

Wednesday to Friday: The National Weather Services has issued a high surf advisory beginning today and into Friday. Peak levels are expected on Wednesday. These conditions can produce dangerous swells and breaking waves of 18 to 24 feet.
