As announced last fall, CAL FIRE is planning to conduct a number of prescribed burns cooperatively with UC Santa Cruz through 2018.
A prescribed burn is scheduled for Oct. 5, pending weather conditions, in lower Marshall Field. Please avoid this area. A map of the area scheduled to be burned is online.
CAL FIRE expects smoke to be minimal, based on the kind of material they are burning.
