UC Cyber Security Awareness learning activity

To: UCSC Employees

From: Chief Information Security Officer, Byron Walker

The UC Cyber Security Awareness Fundamentals (CSA) learning activity has been updated and available for you to review and complete. Good news! You will only need to complete one 40-minute activity (renewed annually) instead of a 50-minute Initial activity and then a 35-minute Refresher activity annually.

All UC employees are required to complete the UC Cyber Security Awareness Fundamentals learning activity annually. This requirement is at the direction of President Napolitano for all active UC employees, including student workers. If you have questions about this policy, please contact itpolicy@ucsc.edu.

The online training will take approximately 40 minutes to complete and you do not need to complete the course in one sitting. The system will remember your progress. You can access the training now via the UC Learning Center by clicking this link: UC Cyber Security Awareness Fundamentals

Learners who have completed the previous version of CSA won’t have to complete this new version until one year after their last completion date. Before your due date, you will receive several reminders from the UC Learning Center to finish this new version. New hires must complete the activity within six weeks of their employment start date.

Thank you.
