Threatening graffiti prompts heightened campus awareness
Executive vice chancellor Alison Galloway has informed the campus of threatening graffiti discovered in a Social Sciences 2 bathroom; the graffiti warned of violence on January 18. While graffiti is common on college campuses, the university nonetheless takes threats seriously. Erring on the side of caution, campus administration decided to share the information with the campus community. And to ask for your help.

Natural gas outage affects some colleges, other areas of campus
At approximately 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, campus crews shut down a natural gas line that serves a large area of the campus core. This action was taken in response to a report and confirmation of a leak in a low-pressure line at the intersection of McLaughlin Drive and Chinquapin Road. Campus crews are on site.
