UC Santa Cruz has prepared this page in an effort to keep the campus community informed about any disruptions in service that could begin on Monday, November 28, due to the protests.
Tuesday, November 29
- 4 pm: Campus Provost Alison Galloway informs the campus community that staff are preparing the Hahn Student Services building for reopening first thing on Wednesday.
- 12 noon: The protestors who remained in Hahn Student Services this morning have vacated the building. The building is expected to be closed at least through the rest of today. Students who need in-person support from staff who normally work at Hahn should seek assistance at temporary "student services" space at the Stevenson Event Center.
- 8 am: Some protesters remain inside Hahn Student Services. Staff in Hahn units and offices should report to the Stevenson Event Center instead of reporting to Hahn. Students who need in-person support from staff who normally work at Hahn should seek assistance at temporary "student services" space at the Stevenson Event Center.
Monday, November 28
- 9 pm: Chancellor George Blumenthal and Campus Provost Alison Galloway inform the campus community of the continued closure of Hahn — and of a temporary location for student services that's being established at Stevenson College.
- 7 pm: Campus leadership decides that staff in Hahn units and offices should report to the Stevenson Event Center on Tuesday morning.

- 4 pm: Some of the protesters have entered Hahn Student Services, which had been locked throughout the day.
- 12 noon: The Hahn Building remains closed to students. A rally is taking place in Quarry Plaza. If possible, motorists are advised to avoid the Quarry Plaza/Hahn Building area of campus.
- 8 am: The Hahn Building remains closed to students. To the extent possible, students are asked to conduct necessary business online today. As always, assistance for undergraduates is available at a student's college office. For graduate students, if you need assistance today, please contact the Graduate Division Office at 831-459-5905.
- 7 am: Several dozen protesters are standing in the five entrances to the Hahn Student Services Building. For the time being, the building should be considered closed. Thank you for your patience.
Transportation Impacts
- There are currently no impacts. But, if possible, motorists are advised to avoid the Quarry Plaza/Hahn Building area of campus during the noon hour.
