The inspiring insights emerging from our strategic academic planning promise to articulate some of the university's unique strengths and opportunities, describe our goals for the future, and help UC Santa Cruz achieve even more. In the 2017-18 academic year, we launched our planning process, engaging people across campus. This year, we expect to develop clear campuswide goals and implementation initiatives.
Input on SAP document revision due by March 1
It is through the wisdom of our community that the campus Strategic Academic Plan has emerged. It reflects our aspirations as an institution, and has the power to guide our next steps. In mid-December, I invited the campus community's input on the newest version of our Strategic Academic Plan document.
Now, I welcome your thoughts and suggestions on this new iteration, which is responsive to the earlier call for feedback. We need your insights on this version by Friday, March 1, so please take the time to review the document and make your contributions. I am grateful for your engagement with this critical campuswide project.
Faculty, staff, and students can submit suggestions:
- In person at the Cafe SAP from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the Kelp Conference Room of our Coastal Biology Building on the Coastal Science Campus
- Electronically by:
- Completing the feedback form at the bottom of the "About the SAP" webpage
- Emailing your comments to academicplan@ucsc.edu.
Timeline
- March: Vice Provost for Academic Affairs Herbie Lee will incorporate the suggested revisions.
- April: A final revision of the SAP will be available for review.
- May: Plan details will be refined.
- June: The plan will be published.
