I am excited to share our reworked Strategic Academic Plan (SAP) document. I hope you will review it and help make a lasting meaningful contribution to our university. These revisions take into account much feedback that we received on the previous draft, so I am delighted to invite the whole campus community to share thoughts and suggestions on this version, to make it even better. I am grateful for your assistance and engagement with this critical campuswide project.
Echoing Campus Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor (CP/EVC) Marlene Tromp’s Dec. 17 update, it is through the best insights of our community that the SAP will reflect our aspirations as an institution and guide our next steps. This is your opportunity to review and provide feedback.
We are especially interested in your specific suggestions for concrete ideas for implementation efforts and metrics for the Design Principles. All input and feedback about the revision needs to be submitted by Friday, March 1.
Please consider sharing your ideas with CP/EVC Tromp and me at the SAP Town Hall on Friday, Jan. 18, 10:30–11:30 a.m. in 4286 in McHenry Library. Light refreshments provided. RSVPs are encouraged so that we can ensure sufficient seating and catering.
Additional ways to submit your suggestions include:
- In-person at the Cafe SAP on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 8:30–9:30 a.m. at the Coastal Campus
- Electronically by:
- Completing the feedback form at the bottom of the “About the SAP” webpage
- Emailing your comments to academicplan@ucsc.edu.
As always, we welcome your SAP-related questions or concerns. Feel free to email me at academicplan@ucsc.edu.
