Staff Appreciation Picnic - Save the Date and Tabling Information

Please save the date - Thursday, May 8 - for our annual Staff Appreciation Picnic and Raffle. We are excited to welcome you all to this event to celebrate everyone’s hard work this year. Please let us know if you are planning to attend by filling out the RSVP form by Friday, April 18 so we can prepare the appropriate amount of food with as little waste as possible. 
 
Date - Thursday, May 8, 2025
Time - 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Location - Quarry Amphitheater
Menu - Mediterranean (Gluten-free and vegan options will be available)

We are also looking for organizations that would like to table at this year’s picnic. Tabling is available to internal UCSC organizations that are on-campus, staff-focused departments and programs. Please note, space is limited. To apply for a table, please fill out this Google form. Applications are due by April 11 and organizations will be notified of their participation by April 18. Questions can be directed to ucscsab@ucsc.edu.

We can’t forget the raffle! If you wish to participate in this year’s raffle, you MUST complete an RSVP. Even if you can’t make it to the picnic, you may still enter the raffle in the RSVP form. If you or your department would like to donate a prize for this year’s raffle, please email ucscsab@ucsc.edu. 

In an effort to remove barriers to participation, parking will be available at the Granary (lot 188) and the Barn Theater (lot 122) parking lots at the base of campus for UCSC staff without a parking pass. Parking lot attendants will be stationed there from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The attendants will have permits for sale for $10 and will direct you where to park, and point you to a shuttle dedicated to the Staff Appreciation Picnic. Shuttles will run to and from the lots from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you have an ADA placard, drive directly to parking lot 102 at Quarry Plaza.
