As the dogwoods bloom across the UC Santa Cruz campus and we transition from spring to summer, it’s time for students to plan for Summer Session opportunities. Enrollment is now open, offering students an array of in-person and online academic opportunities. This year there’s an expanded selection of courses, including high-demand subjects and innovative, hands-on learning experiences.
Whether students take summer classes to fast-track their education or to stay on a steady path, Summer Session is all about helping them get the classes they need to graduate.
“The expanded range of courses reflects our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of students,” said Jennifer Gallacher, director of Summer Session. “ For example, the new Innovation and Entrepreneurship Pathway is available for the first time this summer. It offers students practical skills and knowledge essential for today's job market while also providing them with the support and expertise needed to kickstart their entrepreneurial ventures.”
Over the summer, anyone can take classes at UC Santa Cruz. We welcome visitors from other UC campuses, other colleges, high schools, and community members.
This year, we’re introducing an exciting new addition: an exclusive discount for California Community College students designed to expand access and increase affordability. Our ongoing commitment to UCSC staff and faculty continues with their tuition discount to encourage professional and personal development.
With most taught in an accelerated five weeks, classes allow ample time to make degree progress and work and have fun this summer.
