Dear Campus Community,
We are pleased to announce that Patricia L. Hardaway will serve as acting Associate Vice Chancellor for Staff Human Resources and Chief Human Resource Officer. She will also be part of the Finance, Operations and Administration Services leadership team.
With 25 years of experience at well-respected research universities and liberal arts colleges, Patricia brings a deep understanding of higher education. She served as president and provost of Wilberforce University and has held leadership roles at University Of Pittsburgh, Rutgers University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Chatham College.
Most recently, Patricia served as interim provost at Mills College where she led the Academic Affairs Division during the merger with Northeastern University.
In addition to her academic career, Patricia has extensive experience in labor law, having represented clients in labor matters and complex employment discrimination litigation before the federal and state courts of New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. Patricia holds a Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law; a Masters of Public Works Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public And International Affairs; and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the historic Wilberforce University.
