Members of the UC Santa Cruz community are invited to join in this year's Santa Cruz Pride parade, which starts at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 5.
Santa Cruz Pride is the largest LGBTQ+ event on the Central Coast and, founded in June 1975, is the third oldest annual Pride Parade and Festival celebrated in California. It attracts more than 7,000 participants every year. Information for the parade can be found online.
The campus will be sponsoring this year’s Pride Parade and participating with a walking contingency of 25 individuals. If you would like to join Sammy in the Santa Cruz Pride Parade please sign-up with this Google Form. Due to the limited number of spaces, sign-ups will be first come, first served. Rainbow Pride flags will be provided to those individuals who attend. We encourage you all to wear your UCSC gear and rainbow colored attire to support the campus and our LGBTQ+ community.
