I am very pleased to announce that Ann Pham, currently director of Academic Programs and Planning for Baskin Engineering, has accepted my offer to join the Office of the Campus Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor as assistant executive vice chancellor and chief of staff. Ann will begin her new position on February 18, 2022.
Ann brings a wealth of campus experience gained here at Santa Cruz and other public research universities. She came to our campus in February 2012 as department manager in the Education Department and moved to Baskin Engineering later that year.
Prior to UCSC, Ann worked as a policy planning analyst for Northern Virginia Community College, as director of the Office of Diversity and Social Justice at Arizona State University - Phoenix, and in a number of Student Affairs roles at both the University of Wisconsin, Madison and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
I am grateful to Herbie Lee, Adrienne Harrell, and Adrian Brasoveanu for their service on the search committee. I hope you will join me in welcoming Ann to her new role.
