Rosa Garcia to serve as interim ADA Officer

Dear Colleagues,

The Equity & Equal Protection Office is happy to announce that Senior Investigator/Complaint Resolution Officer Rosa Garcia has agreed to serve as interim ADA Officer. In this inaugural position, Rosa will help provide leadership and expertise to ensure campuswide ADA compliance and foster a more inclusive climate.

Rosa is an experienced higher education professional with extensive knowledge of the UCSC campus community. She is a UCSC alum and then went on to receive her Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from San Francisco State University. Prior to entering into higher education, she has held various positions working in community mental health. Rosa in an expert in stwearding the interactive process as well as administering discrimination and harassment complaint resolutions processes in both workplace and higher education settings.

I am deeply grateful to Rosa for agreeing to serve in this important capacity as EEP engages a firm to conduct a national search in the new year.
