The University of California, Santa Cruz, continues to undertake efforts to log the work locations of all employees in the campus Directory and CruzAlert systems. In preparation for emergency planning and other compliance needs, it is critical that the university understands where our current employees spend the majority of their work day.
To coordinate these efforts, the university requests that you update your CruzID and primary university location, including office or cubicle number, in the Directory and CruzAlert fields. By updating your contact information, primary university location, and office or cubicle number in these programs, the university will have sufficient information to comply with our emergency planning and compliance needs.
The university developed two guides to assist you with this process.
First, to update your campus directory, the following campus directory update guide can assist you with your updates. If you have any questions about how to fill out your primary university location and office or cubicle number in your campus directory profile, please work with your supervisor directly. For university staff and academic supervisors and managers, it is your responsibility to work with your employees to ensure that individual employees update their campus directory profile with their primary university location and office or cubicle number.
If you are a fully remote employee, please indicate this in the campus directory by selecting “Remote Work Location” located as the last option under the Primary Office Location drop down menu. If you work a hybrid schedule, please indicate your assigned university location and office or cubicle number.
Then, please see the CruzAlert update guide, which will assist you in updating your contact information in the emergency alert system.
Each quarter, the university will send out a request to campus employees to update their directory information. Please update your campus directory profile with your primary office or cubicle location by Friday, October 29, 2021.
Thank you in advance for your assistance with the university’s emergency preparedness and compliance efforts.
