This email provides guidance and requirements regarding continued compliance efforts surrounding COVID-19 mitigation through spring quarter 2021.

Last fall, UC Santa Cruz released an interim public health policy to support COVID-19 mitigation efforts. These guidelines remain in place through the spring quarter and until such a time that the policy is modified or ended.

UC Santa Cruz recognizes that more and more of our campus community will become vaccinated against COVID-19 in the weeks and months ahead. Regardless of an individual’s vaccination status, the interim public health policy requirements remain in place. Please continue to fill out the daily Qualtrics Symptom Check Questionnaire before you enter any UCSC controlled facility, wear a face covering in public or in any shared space, and maintain six (6) feet of distance between yourself and others in addition to the other requirements set forth in the policy. Not abiding by the requirements of the interim public health policy may result in disciplinary action.

Finally, earlier this year, the University of California released an updated interim COVID-19 vaccination policy. A full copy of the policy may be viewed here. On our campus, we recently launched a SARS-CoV2 Vaccine Policy Frequently Asked Questions for all UCSC academic and staff employees. As the campus develops more guidance around the vaccine policy’s implementation, the frequently asked questions will be updated.

For staff employees, if you have questions about compliance with the interim public health policy, please contact your appropriate Employee Relations partner. For academic employees, please contact Danny Gray, Director of Academic Employee Relations, at dggray@ucsc.edu To report non-compliance with the interim public health policy, please use this form.
