The recent wildfire in the Santa Cruz Mountains affected many people in the UC Santa Cruz community. Through generous gifts from alumni, donors, and the campus community, UC Santa Cruz has been able to provide more than 60 grants to the employees who were most severely impacted. More than $60,000 has been awarded so far to staff and faculty.
Slug Support continues to help students who were affected by the wildfire. More than $80,000 has been provided to about 250 students.
The campus is still accepting donations and will be distributing another round of grants in the weeks ahead.
