UC Santa Cruz is aware of the deeply troubling social media allegations against the Sigma Pi fraternity, its members, and other students. As soon as the posts came to light, they were immediately referred to the campus Title IX Office and Dean of Students Office for review.
The campus has placed the fraternity on an interim suspension, pending the outcome of an investigation into the student organization. The interim suspension restricts the organization from holding meetings, recruiting members, and conducting any activities as a student organization.
UC Santa Cruz is ready to take all appropriate steps to protect our community from sexual violence and sexual harassment.
Anyone who has experienced sexual violence or sexual harassment is encouraged to report it to our Title IX Office. Students in need of support can reach out to CARE and Counseling and Psychological Services. Employees can get support through the Employee Assistance Program.
