SAB Solidarity; Black Lives Matter

Dear UCSC Staff,

The SAB is saddened and angered by the murder of George Floyd and the unfolding violence against people demanding justice; with disproportionate harm targeting folks of color. We stand in support of all the community members of color at UCSC, and particularly our ABC identifying staff, students, and faculty. We wanted to boost the message from the AARCC and its director, Shonté Thomas.

We hope that these words spread and galvanize people with privilege to become more engaged in the work of being anti-racist and ending systems of oppression.
