Community Conversations: Resilience

A Principles of Community discussion series on caring

To: UC Santa Cruz Campus Community

From:  Learning & Development team

“Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying 'I will try again tomorrow'.” ― Mary Anne Radmacher

Many of us find ourselves challenged with remote work, at a time when we may be dealing with personal matters or professional upheaval. Learning & Development invites you to gather and discuss how to care for ourselves and others in the current environment.

Join us:
3-4 p.m.
Friday, April 24th
Zoom at: https://ucsc.zoom.us/j/3624437715

We’ll talk about some of the components of resilience in our work lives, like organizational vision, personal composure, mindset, tenacity and self-care, along with related topics, tips and questions that you bring.
Learning & Development is hosting UCOP-provided micro-learnings from SkillSoft, two-to-five minute episodes defining, and exploring the topic of resilience. The bundle of resilience micro-learnings is available to view at your convenience.

If you’d like to explore further, access your UC Academic Impressions account to watch Shift Your Mindset to Build Resilience or Building Leadership Resilience in Higher Education.

We hope to see you on Friday, April 24 to discuss these ideas, and to help each other by sharing our own experiences and actions towards a resilient work life.
