Zimride
Zimride lets you find a carpool with fellow UC Santa Cruz students. It’s easy...and free! Simply log on to https://www.zimride.com/ucsc/, sign up or update your profile, and post a ride (whether you’re a driver or a passenger). With almost 400 new users since August 1, your chances of finding a match have never been better.
And when you post a new ride on UCSC's private Zimride network during the month of November, you’ll not only get home for less, you could win up to $200 at Amazon. Zipcar
What if you and your friends don’t have a car? No need to worry—With 21 cars on campus (and an additional 10 in the westside and downtown areas of Santa Cruz), you can get where you need to go for the holidays...and if your friends are going the same way, you can split the cost!
Zipcar is a car sharing service with a modest membership fee and low hourly rates. UCSC affiliates* can join for only $15 and with rates starting at $5.50 per hour, a weekend trip to southern California is only around $200. Did we mention that includes everything? And we mean everything: vehicle fees, gas, insurance, mileage and reserved on-campus parking.
Join for $15 by December 31, 2019 and you will receive $15 in driving credit by using the code UCSCBACKTOSCHOOL (driving credit must be used within 30 days of membership). Sign up to make your reservation today.
