SAP final review, a survey, and three town halls

To: UC Santa Cruz Community

From:  Herbie Lee Vice Provost for Academic Affairs

Over the past 18 months, our faculty, leadership, staff, students, and alumni have expended incredible energy working together to create a Strategic Academic Plan. This remarkable collaboration, drawing on the ideas and insights of our full campus community, produced a document that reflects our campus values and lays forth a clear academic future. I am proud of what we’ve created together, and I am excited to share our collective vision with the new chancellor.

But our work is not quite done! We crafted Design Principles, defined Academic Priority Areas, then brain-stormed Barrier Reduction projects. Now we need your help prioritizing initiatives that will help us to achieve the goals of our Design Principles. Please take a moment and complete the online survey on proposed initiatives.

The survey deadline is May 10. Your feedback will have a direct impact on where we go, so please take a moment and weigh in!

In addition to the survey, you are invited to a town hall to discuss and ask questions about the SAP. To ensure sufficient catering, RSVPs are appreciated two days before the event.
