UC Santa Cruz police are seeking the campus community’s help in the investigation of a rash of on-campus burglaries.
On Thursday, May 9, campus officers arrested Jose Ramon Jacinto, pictured below, at Camper Park on Leonardo Lane on suspicion of a probation violation, possession of narcotics, and possession of burglary tools. He was with two others, a male and female, who were identified and released.
Given the spate of recent burglaries, both vehicle and residential, and the tools Jacinto possessed at the time of his arrest, police are seeking the community’s assistance in determining if Jacinto or his associates may have been seen in campus areas where other crimes occurred. Anyone who believes they may have seen Jacinto on campus, in our parking lots or colleges, are asked to call the dispatch center at 831-459-2231, Ext. 1.
