Today, the University of California is launching a friendly systemwide competition that challenges us all do more to reduce our carbon footprint.

Everyone in our campus community is invited to join the Cool Campus Challenge, which runs today through April 26. You’ll get weekly emails with actions you can take to lower your carbon emissions in classrooms, labs, offices, dining halls and dorms, homes, and when traveling.

As you take action, you will score points for our campus in the competition. Trophies will be awarded to the campuses with the most points and most points per participant.

Please take a minute to join the Cool Campus Challenge by registering at CoolCampusChallenge.org.

The University of California is on its way to becoming the first university system to wipe out its carbon footprint by 2025, as part of the Carbon Neutrality Initiative. This ambitious goal is one we can accomplish, but only if we work together.
