#UCSCAlumni Commencement Special Feature

“I view my work as an editing process of history—bringing up topics that may not have received due process and working them out. Moving forward, I want to gain a solid set of fundamentals with graphic design so I can create work that is both innovative as well as viewer-friendly.”

Vincent Williams (Stevenson) uses graphic design, sculptural installations, collage, and photography to comment on the history of black identity both in the United States and in Western art. He is a 2018 Irwin Scholar and will be attending the prestigious California Institute of the Arts for graduate school.

From now until commencement, we'll present profiles of a graduating student from each division at UC Santa Cruz as part of our special #UCSCAlumni Commencement feature. Stay tuned!
