Campus hires new director of emergency management

Following a nationwide recruitment, I am very pleased to announce that Lisa Ehret has been appointed to the position of director of emergency management beginning April 1, 2018.

Lisa has served as the campus business continuity planner and more recently, as the interim director of emergency management. During this time she has worked with many of you on a wide variety of projects. Lisa has more than 18 years of progressive experience leading emergency management programs in a university setting. Her breadth of knowledge and expertise will bring critical leadership to the campus preparedness and resiliency programs.

I want to thank the search committee members (Nader Oweis, Darin Matthews, Sarah Barron, Dave Keller, Elise McCandless) and others who interviewed candidates and provided feedback.
