Input sought on impact of Student Housing West

UC Santa Cruz is beginning the environmental review of Student Housing West, the proposed 3,000-bed student housing project on the west side of campus.

Student Housing West would significantly expand campus housing, creating 2,100 new beds while providing an additional 900 beds so that lounge space can be restored and reduce some housing density.

The new beds will serve upper-division undergraduates, graduate students, and students with families.

The campus is asking government agencies and the public for input before it begins the environmental review.
