Grace McClintock named Academic Personnel Director

I am very pleased to announce the appointment, after a national search, of Grace McClintock to Academic Personnel Director. Her formal title is Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Personnel. She had been serving in the role on an interim basis since February.
The Academic Personnel Office oversees the recruitment, appointment, advancement, and retention of outstanding faculty and other academic appointees at UC Santa Cruz.
Grace brings significant experience and expertise to the role. For the past seven years, she worked as Manager of Technology, Data, and Compensation in the office.
She has worked on campus for 16 years, including six in the academic human resources office at the Division of Physical and Biological Sciences.
She succeeds Pamela Peterson, who led the APO for more than 10 years. Pamela took a position at UC’s Office of the President in January. We wish her luck in her new endeavor.
I would like to thank members of the search committee for their service including Martin Berger, interim Associate Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, who oversaw the search to fill this key post.
