Training on upcoming Career Tracks Launch

To: UCSC Staff

From: Staff Human Resources

We are writing to notify everyone that the Career Tracks Team and Karen Berardi from Office of the President will host a Town Hall series. Employees will learn about what to expect and timelines, next steps and resources as we prepare for assignment of the new job titles going live in our payroll system. The training sessions will occur on the following dates and times:

January 17, 2016 - ReadyTalk Sessions - (866) 740-1260 access code: 4594016,
  • 11 am - noon

  • 3:30 - 4:30 pm

January 18, 2016 - College Nine, Namaste Lounge
  • 1:30 - 2:30 pm

  • 2:30 - 3:30 pm

  • 4:00 - 5:00 pm

Senior Management Group, academics, represented staff, and students are not affected. Career Tracks will not affect job duties or function, working ("business card") title or current base pay. Nonetheless, this is a dramatic change for our campus and we would like to facilitate the transition by providing training and answering questions as the transition progresses. This training is open to all employees, regardless of whether they are included in the Career Tracks initiative. Karen Berardi, Career Tracks Consultant at University of California, Office of the President Human Resources will be presenting. She has transitioned multiple campuses to the Career Tracks system and is well- versed in its development and application. We will be offering this training at varying times and dates in order to accommodate as many as possible. As a quick reference, here’s a recap of important upcoming dates.
