UC Santa Cruz is among the top 30 public national universities, according to the latest rankings by U.S. News and World Report.
The campus is ranked No. 30 in the list of public national universities and No. 79 in the list of 310 national universities. UC Santa Cruz ranked No. 82 last year.
UC Santa Cruz came in at No. 26 for Best Value Colleges, which takes into account a school’s US News and World Report ranking and the 2015–2016 net cost of attendance for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid.
With a campus population comprising 30 percent Hispanic/Latino students, UC Santa Cruz came in at No. 17 on a list of campus ethnic diversity at national universities. It was one of four UCs on the list.
Additionally, UC Santa Cruz was ranked No. 47 for Best Colleges for Veterans.
