As required by the standard campus policy review process, Business and Administrative Services is proposing updates for the UC Santa Cruz Fire Protection Policy.
Individuals who wish to provide comments on the proposed revisions (summaries and links below) should direct their comments to Elise McCandless at emccandl@ucsc.edu by Aug. 15, 2016.
Minor changes include minor wording changes, clarifications, structural changes (combining or reorganizing sections), addition of definitions and references, elimination of repetition, elimination of outdated requirements, and fixed/changed links.
Substantive changes include the following:
- Updated the purpose of the policy
- Aligned roles and responsibilities with current practices in Section III.A and Section V.

If no substantial comments are received, this policy will be forwarded to the campus provost/executive vice chancellor on Aug. 16, 2016 for approval.
