Time to renew parking permits and Metro bus passes

Annual parking permits and staff/faculty Metro bus passes expire on June 30, 2016. Staff and faculty who need to renew their parking permit or bus pass for 2016-17 can apply online now (http://basx2.ucsc.edu/application16), or in person at the TAPS sales office. 
While TAPS awaits the outcome of the 2016 Parking Fee and Fare Proposal, we can accept applications for all 2016-17 parking permits and faculty/staff bus passes, but cannot accept credit card payments. Payroll deduction applications will be processed immediately, as we will have adequate time to put in the approved rates before the first processing date of June 27, 2016. Once we know the approved rates, we will send an email link to those who have applied and who want to purchase their permit (or Metro pass) with a credit card. 
If you apply online and do not receive your permit by July 1, please come to the sales office. 

Staff and faculty with multi-year parking permits do not need to reapply in order to continue using their permit unless they want to select a different type of permit or want to purchase a 2016-17 Metro bus pass.
