Subject: Possible rally on Monday, June 1
UC Santa Cruz is anticipating a potential rally on Monday, June 1 at the main entrance to campus.
Campus lecturers have announced plans for a "Support UCSC Lecturers" picnic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a rally scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. This is an advisory to be prepared and to stay informed.
Please especially be aware of this activity as you pass through the intersection at the main entrance to the campus and use caution while driving, walking, or cycling in this area.
We do not anticipate that the rally will impact regular campus operations. Information about actual impacts, if any, will be posted at http://news.ucsc.edu/2015/05/picnic-and-rally.html. In any situation of imminent danger, people should call University Police at 911.
In addition to updating the web page as information warrants, the Public Affairs Office will:
- Record information on the campus's communications hotline, 459-INFO (831-459-4636).
- Relay information on a regular basis to KZSC Radio (88.1 FM) for broadcast.
- Share information via Twitter (twitter.com/ucsc).
