Summer Orientation is our opportunity as a campus to formally welcome newly matriculated UCSC students and their families into our community of scholars. Orientation is designed to facilitate the transition of our new students, ensure an understanding of our many academic opportunities and expectations, and promote a healthy cultural and social integration into the campus and college system. The highly collaborative efforts across campus are in support of student retention and graduation in a timely fashion. New frosh may choose to attend a one-day or an overnight experience and transfer attend the one designated program to address their unique needs.

- Tuesday, July 21 (Frosh Day)
- Wednesday, July 22 (frosh Day)
- Friday, July 24 (Transfer Day)
- Saturday, July 25 (Frosh Day)
- Monday, July 27 (Frosh Day)*
- Wednesday, July 29 (Frosh Day)
- Thursday, July 30 (Tentative date reserved for frosh or transfer)
*Overnight program participants (Students stay overnight in the residence halls.)

The UCSC Orientation Calendar contains dates for Summer Orientation, Fall Welcome Week, International Orientation, New Student Move-in, Winter Orientation (if offered), and Winter Welcome.To add to your Google Calendars, follow these instructions.
