Campus visits by candidates for University Librarian

The search committee for the University Librarian has selected three finalists to visit campus this month. This is your opportunity to participate in the interview process, and I hope you will attend.

The candidates’ resumes and letters of interest are available online. Each candidate will present a vision talk followed by a discussion session. Details are as follows:

  ·  Monday, April 14, at 10:00 a.m. in the Alumni Room of University Center: Candidate M. Elizabeth Cowell, interim University Librarian at University of California Santa Cruz.

 ·   Monday, April 21, at 10:00 a.m. (location to be posted online): Candidate Paul Bracke, Associate Dean for Research and Assessment at Purdue University.

 ·   Wednesday, April 30, at 10:00 a.m. (location to be posted online): Candidate Curtis Kendrick, University Dean for Libraries and Information Resources at The City University of New York.

The University Librarian is a critical senior management position, overseeing McHenry Library, the Science & Engineering Library, Special Collections and Archives, the digital library, the David Kirk Media Center.
