UC Santa Cruz and the Santa Cruz Warriors have reached an agreement that will bring UCSC men’s and women’s basketball to Kaiser Permanente Arena for the 2013-14 regular season. In total, 22 NCAA Division III basketball games will be played at Kaiser Permanente Arena during the 2013-14 season, including 16 featuring UCSC men’s or women’s basketball and 6 tournament games.
“This collaboration is a win-win,” said George Blumenthal, chancellor of UCSC. “Our student-athletes are excited about the prospect of playing their home games in the new Warriors venue, and the community will benefit because this will make UCSC games more accessible to the many basketball fans in the Santa Cruz area.”
