Background:
The University of California system has been informed that strike activities are planned at UC Medical Centers and, possibly, on the campuses on May 21-22.
AFSCME's Patient Care Technical union and the UC system have been unable to reach agreement on a new contract — prompting the union's call for a strike. AFSCME's Service and UPTE's Health Care units have also notified the UC system of their intentions to strike on one or both of the days.
it is important that you stay informed about any possible impacts local strike activities could have on campus operations.
