This is to remind you that polls close at 8 tonight. In addition to the important vote for president, there are a number of other elected positions being contested, as well as many important state and local initiatives on the ballot.
Voting is a citizen's fundamental right, and I urge you to use this opportunity to let your voice be heard.
California state law, University of California policy, and applicable labor agreements allow leave with pay up to a maximum of two hours for voting in a statewide primary or general election if an employee is scheduled to work eight hours or more that day, and if the employee does not have time to vote outside of working hours.

If you need information about polling locations — on and off campus — and the propositions on the ballot, please go to http://vote.ucsc.edu.
If for any reason you are not listed on your polling location's registered voters list, and you are sure you registered, ask for a provisional ballot, so that your vote can still count.
After you vote, you may want to attend one of the numerous election-night gatherings taking place on campus.
Thank you.
Thank you.
