Summer 2013 Orientation Dates

To: UCSC Staff and Faculty

From: Rosa M. Plaza, Director of Orientation

Every summer, new students and their families attend Summer Orientation to learn more about their campus. Orientation is our opportunity to formally welcome them and it also serves as the first step in their transition into university life.

This year we will continue to offer one-day orientations for frosh and transfer students. Additionally, we will offer two overnight options for frosh students. Mark your calendars for the Summer 2013 Orientation dates listed below.

•    Wednesday, July 24 (Frosh Day)

•    Friday, July 26 (Transfer Day)

•    Saturday, July 27(Frosh Day)

•    Monday, 29 (Frosh Day)*

•    Wednesday, July 31 (Frosh Day)*

•    Thursday, August 1 (Frosh Day)

•    Friday, August 2 (Tentative date reserved for frosh or transfer)

*Overnight program participants. Students will arrive on campus the day before and stay overnight in the residence halls.

Faculty, staff, and the greater campus community play an invaluable role for students, and your continued participation in Orientation is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, feedback or want to share ideas for future programming, please contact Rosa Plaza at rplaza@ucsc.edu.

Thank you for your continued support.
