The UC Santa Cruz Police Department will sponsor the upcoming U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency "Take Back Initiative" Saturday, September 29, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The objective is to collect unused, unwanted, or expired medications. Any medications may be brought to UCSC police department where drop-off boxes will be available in the lobby. UCSC police will dispose the controlled substances in a safe, secure, and non-hazardous manner, potentially saving lives and protecting the ecosystem.
