On August 14, 15 and 18, the UCSC Fire Department will be hosting training exercises to better equip surrounding fire departments to respond to mid and high rise fire incidents. This training will take place at Porter College “B” dorm. There will be some minor traffic restrictions in the area of the Porter Service Road, as well as the West Remote Parking Lot beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m. Additionally, on the 14th, an evening session will be held beginning at 6 p.m.
Training will be held in 2 sessions each day with up to 10 fire apparatus and 40 personnel participating in each session.
