Free poetry reading and music at Alan Chadwick Garden, Saturday, June 23

Enjoy the beauty of early summer in the historic Alan Chadwick Garden at UC Santa Cruz as you listen to the poetry and music of some of the region’s most talented artists.

On Saturday, June 23, from noon until 2 p.m., a bevy of award-winning poets will read their work at “A Garden of Poetry and Music,” with piano music and vocals by Colin and Sheila Hannon. The event is free and open to the public.

Featured poets this year are Beth Benjamin, Lisa Coffman, Farnaz Fatemi, Michael Hannon, Frances Hatfield, Tom Marshall, Stephen Meadows, and Lee Perron.

Available at the event will be the Chadwick Garden Anthology of Poets, with works from thirty of the poets who have read at this annual event.

The main entrance to the Alan Chadwick Garden is located on McLaughlin Drive across from Stevenson College, where free parking will be available in the Stevenson College parking lot.
