The City of Santa Cruz Water Department has begun work to renovate the Bay Reservoir near Cardiff Place and Iowa Drive.

Starting this week and continuing through the end of July, increased truck traffic will travel to the reservoir via Mission Street, Bay Street, Iowa Drive, and Cardiff Place weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. At peak times, as many as 10 trucks per hour may traverse this route. Commuter traffic, bicyclists, and pedestrians should use extra caution as they approach large, slow-moving trucks traveling along this route.

If you have questions or concerns about this project or associated traffic, please contact Doug Valby, dvalby@cityofsantacruz.com, 831-420-5212, associate civil engineer at the Santa Cruz Water Department.
