As part of our community service efforts this quarter, Crown College, College Nine and College Ten are partnering with DKMS (www.getswabbed.org) to add people to the National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP) Registry.
Students, staff, faculty and members of the public are invited to register as potential bone marrow donors. The testing process is extremely simple - swabbing the inside of the cheek with a q-tip. If a registrant is identified as a potential match he or she can still choose not to be a donor. Donating is generally as simple as giving blood.
It will be held Friday, January 20th , 2012 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Namaste Lounge at College Nine & Red Room at College Eight. Stop by and maybe save a life.
Registering is free, but donations for the DKMS bone marrow donor center will be accepted.
