Preview Day is the annual Saturday campus tour opportunity for prospective students and their families. The day is an important recruitment activity which connects prospective students with UCSC faculty, staff, and students. A few of our key messages this year will focus on access to our world renowned faculty, our high impact interdisciplinary research aimed at solving the world’s most challenging problems, our distinctive living and learning communities and of course, showcase our incredible learning environment. The one-day program will cover freshman and transfer admissions information.
Additional Information:
- Registration will continue to be required for all participants.
- There will be three sessions at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, and 2:00 p.m. followed by a campus walking tour. Each session covers key topics surrounding undergraduate education, campus and student life, and admissions requirements and selection.
We expect to serve 1,500 visitors, including students early in the college exploration process, high school seniors applying to college, families, and transfer students. The overview sessions are being held in the Classroom Unit Building.
Departments and campus units are encouraged to provide materials to be shared with guests during the event. If your unit is interested in sharing publications, please send materials for approximately 500 guests to the Office of Admissions, by Monday, October 3 (Mailstop: Cook House).
You are encouraged to open your offices on October 15 for prospective students and families who would like to visit and ask questions. If you plan on opening your offices, please contact Assistant Director Beatrice Atkinson-Myers at beatrice@ucsc.edu, ext. 9-2352, and let her know what days and hours you plan on opening.
