A community celebration of the life of a beloved Financial Aid and Scholarship Office staff member, Sophía Guadalupe García-Robles, (who passed away on November 5, 2010) will be held the afternoon of Saturday, May 14, 2011 at an off-campus location. A scholarship fund designated for UCSC students is being established in Sophia’s name at the Chicana/Latina Foundation. Donations payable to the Chicana/Latina Foundation may be made at the May 14th celebration.
