October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month. This final cyber security month "Tip of the Week" from ITS focuses on practical dos and don'ts to help keep your computer and information secure.
It is important for each of us to do our part to protect sensitive information and our computers. ITS' "Top 10 List" of good computing practices has practical, mostly non-technical cyber security tips that everyone can follow.
Topics include:

* Avoiding scams
* Internet and email security
* Securing your area, laptop and portable devices
* Patches and anti-virus
* Making backups
