On-Campus Photography Contest

The Chancellor's Office is holding a photography contest to choose a photograph of the UC Santa Cruz campus, taken by a member of the UCSC community, to use as the front cover of its season's greeting card.

The Chancellor’s Office and the Arts Division are sponsoring the contest, which is open to all UCSC faculty, staff, and students.

-- First Prize: $250 Bay Tree Book Store Gift Certificate.
Awarded to image chosen for the Chancellor's season's greeting card, with acknowledgment of the artist.

-- Honorable mentions: Each artist will receive a certificate of acknowledgment.
All photographs in this category will be archived by the Chancellor's Office.

Medium: Color or Black/White photograph
Subject: Landscape, with the aim of showing the beauty of the UC Santa Cruz campus
Format: 6 x 8 inch (minimum size) color photograph (minimum 300 dpi); JPG format.

Prefer Image to be sent via e-mail if resolution (300 DPI) is not compromised.

A copy of the image on CD or DVD may be sent to the contact below.

Deadline for submissions: October 20, 2010*

NOTE: All photographers whose work is selected for First Prize or Honorable Mention will be required to grant custody of their photographs to The Regents of the University of California for use in campus greeting cards, publicity, promotion, and information about the campus.

Multiple entries will be accepted. The University reserves the right to reject any and all submissions.
