Student Achievement Week at UC Santa Cruz

Cynthia Navarro, "Frog Trip," UCSC Student Print Sale 2010

Outstanding visual artists, performers, researchers, and scholars will share the spotlight during Undergraduate Achievement Week, when UCSC will honor hundreds of outstanding students. The honors and events will take place May 29 to June 4.

Many of the honorees will present their work to the public in a series of eclectic presentations ranging from an open studio of student printmaking, sculpture, and photography to a symposium highlighting research.

Among the featured events are the 36th Annual Print Sale, when hundreds of original fine arts prints will be for sale in a variety of media: woodcut, lithographs, etching and handmade books. Students will also put on theater productions and will take part in the 13th annual Undergraduate Research Poster Symposium, which will be held at the Jack Baskin Engineering Courtyard on Thursday, June 3, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The weeklong celebration culminates in an awards ceremony from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 4, at the College Nine and Ten Multipurpose Room.
