Astronomer Sandra Faber was quoted in a Nature news story about the Hubble Space Telescope's 20th anniversary.

Biologist Glenn Stewart was featured in ongoing coverage of the falcons nesting at San Jose City Hall on KTVU and the San Jose Mercury News.

The Santa Cruz Sentinel:

  • covered the appearances at UCSC and in Santa Cruz of alumnus Peter Bratt, writer and director of the film La Mission. Peter and his younger brother Benjamin visited with students on Friday, April 23.

  • ran a front page story on the official opening celebration of UCSC's new Digital Arts Research Center, quoting David Yager, dean of the Arts Division, and Sharon Daniel, chair of the Digital Arts and New Media M.F.A. program (DANM)--as well as spotlighting DANM graduate students Lyes Belhocine and Karl Baumann, and undergraduate Katie Anderson from art professor Lewis Watts' "Introduction to Digital Photography" class.
