The UCSC Women's Rugby team advanced to the semifinals of the Collegiate Division II National Championships this past weekend by virtue of wins over LaSalle University (38-20) and the University of Slippery Rock (46-19). Both games were played in Sanford, Fla.
The wins move the UCSC women's rugby team into the semifinals, where they will face Temple University of Philadelphia on Friday, April 30, at Stanford University. The winner of that game will play the winner of Washington State University and Norwich University from Vermont on Saturday, May 1, at Stanford's Steuber Stadium.
